CMC S18F Spider Lift – Big Reach, Compact Footprint
The CMC S18F is a heavy-duty tracked spider lift that pairs a 17.78m working height with one of the widest outreaches in its class, 11.15m out from the base. That horizontal reach is the point of it: you can set up on solid, level ground and still get the basket out over hedges, water features, conservatories or anything you can’t track across.
Its tracks adjust for both height and width, so it stays planted on slopes, rough terrain and uneven ground that would stop a fixed-base machine. A single pantograph and two-stage telescopic boom, plus jib, give precise control over where the basket goes, with 90° basket rotation and 178° on the turret.
The basket carries 230kg, two operators with tools and a bit of kit to spare. Petrol power comes as standard, with battery and lithium options for indoor or low-emission jobs.
It’s a firm favourite with tree surgeons and grounds teams for that reason: the reach and the track adjustment let it work where access is awkward and the floor isn’t flat.
